Digital barriers on Norwegian websites 2014

This report presents the results of a survey that assesses the universal design status of Norwegian websites. We evaluated some 300 websites in the private sector and public sector against a sample of the requirements defined in the regulations.

The survey was conducted in the period September 2014 to January 2015. It builds on the international standard Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0.

The digital barriers detected in this survey provide an indication of the topics it is important to take into account in developing web-based solutions. It also contains an explanation of the technical requirements for the online solutions assessed in the survey and the way in which the requirement affects the use of the solutions.
